INFOGRAPHIC ON SMOKING: INFOGRAPHIC

An infographic on the effects of smoking in Ireland.

  • INFOGRAPHIC ON SMOKING: INFOGRAPHIC
Infographic on Smoking.
I decided to do my Infographic on smoking in Ireland. Over 5,200 people die annually from the effects of smoking ranging from cardiovascular disease (stroke and heart problems), a range of cancers such as lung, throat, mouth and respiratory diseases such as emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Tobacco kills 50% of its users.
I think that although there is a mass of information out there it may be a good idea to put the main points together collectively so that people who already smoke can see it and perhaps rethink their decision to smoke as they see what smoking is doing to them and to the people around them.
Equally it would give people who don’t smoke and are thinking about taking it up such teenagers and young adults enough information to turn them away from the lure of cigarettes. In today’s society smoking is losing its “coolness” amongst young people and infographic highlighting the effects of smoking may be the extra deterrent that kids need to keep away from smoking.
